The Cape Town pride parade returned to the streets of Green Point on Saturday.
Participants and supports of the LGBTQI+ communities advanced up the fan walk in Somerset Road, Green Point.
The first parade was held 56 years ago to promote diversity and inclusion.
Enthusiastic pride participants came clad in rainbow colours waving the LGBT + flag.
Marchers said they are excited to proudly claim their identities.
The parade has made its way down Somerset Road and also sees festival goers congregate at the Green Point Athletics Track for a programme of entertainment and speeches.
